Jessica and Andres are Canadians with deep ties to Miami, hence their destination wedding in Miami.  Andres is originally from Miami (Kendall in the house!) as well as Peru. An international affair, their Miami wedding had friends and family coming to Miami from throughout the world, with many visiting from Peru and Canada. Their Miami wedding was full of personalized details, from a miniature replica of Jessica’s wedding dress, a mannequin to display the wedding dress, and an hora loca dedicated to all things Canadian (Tim Hurtons!).

Jessica and Andres wed in the terrace of the Double Tree Hotel in Downtown Miami. The outdoor wedding ceremony had water views of the bay and the ceremony site was awash with bright white flowers. The couple exchanged personal vows in an intimate and tearful ceremony peppered with humor. Guests learned that upon meeting, Jessica saved her number in Andres’ phone as “Cutie Smith.”

Prior to the ceremony, Jessica and Andres had a first look on the dock of Briza on the Bay. Surrounded by the bay, beautiful boats, and their bridal party, Jessica and Andres shared an intimate moment together before the wedding ceremony.

Jessica and Andres also had their wedding reception at Briza on the Bay. The wedding reception was filled with blue lights and white accents throughout. Their 4-tier mouthwatering wedding cake was displayed on a hanging cake stand, which later served as a swing for guests. Shhh don’t tell the hotel about that detail.

A choreographed first dance opened the wedding reception and set the tone for a dance floor that was packed all night.

The evening was capped off with a hora loca with Canadian flare (see video below).   Watch a teaser of the Hora Loca on our Instagram.  Guests were treated to the Canadian anthem, flag, skiers, and props highlighting Canadian favorites. Hora Loca props included Tim Hurton coffee hats, donut hats, glow sticks, and more. Snow covered Canadian mountains were projected on the walls of the reception room, creating the perfect backdrop to the Hora Loca.
