Two things are inevitable in life, love and taxes.   If you’re lucky, you’ll find love early and spend years together getting those “married filing jointly” tax deductions.  Or if you’re Claire and Alex – passionate tax attorneys, you’ll find love early and spend countless days talking about the tax implications of foreign investments and disregarded entities.  What does that mean? Don’t ask these videographers!

Kind, playful, classy, and smart as hell; these are some of the words that come to mind when describing Claire + Alex.   We planned their wedding film over delicious coffee and tea (Pacion del Cielo), just weeks before their wedding, and they were as calm and cool as could be.   We always chat with couples before their ceremony to make sure we have all the details covered.   For example, if you are having a church wedding in Miami, or anywhere else, it is important to ask church officials where your videographer or photographer are allowed to stand.   At this wedding we were allowed to go into the second floor choir area and film, this allows for a birds-eye-view of the wedding ceremony.

Claire and Alex were married on February 2, 2019 at the Church of the Little Flower in a traditional catholic wedding mass.

Prior to the ceremony, Claire and Alex had a First Look at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables.  The love, admiration, and affection that Claire and Alex have for each other was apparent from the second they saw each other.   This is the stuff of love songs! Cue John Legend song now.

The ceremony reception was held at Comber Hall adjacent to Church of the Little Flower.   As is typical for a Miami wedding, revelers danced late into the night to salsa, Pitbull and everything in between. Through thoughtful details, Claire and Alex showed off their personalities.  Late into the night, gigantic pictures of Alex and Claire’s heads made their way onto the dance floor.   Friends carried their cut-out-heads and danced the night away.  Another fun detail of the wedding reception was the percussionist during the Hora Loca.   The Hora Loca resembled calle ocho after the Miami Marlins or Miami Heat won the World Series or Playoffs.  Friends and family were hitting the pots and pans to the beat of the drums, and glow sticks and props abounded.

Like Claire and Alex, we recommend all couples think of different ways to incorporate your personalities into your wedding ceremony or wedding reception.  For example, do you love classic Miami Art Deco style, incorporate that into your invitation or table décor.  Are you a die-hard Game of Thrones fans? Incorporate the house sigils into your wedding reception décor. Do you love classic cars? Leave your ceremony in style!

The wedding night ended with friends and family sending well wishes for Claire and Alex’s next adventure, their honeymoon in Japan.
